By material:
Low‑carbon steel seamless pipes: Made from steels such as 10 or 20, these pipes are commonly used for water, oil and gas pipelines because they offer good corrosion resistance and efficient flow.
Medium‑carbon steel seamless pipes: Using steels such as 45 or 40cr, they provide higher strength and toughness, making them suitable for mechanical parts in vehicles and tractors.

By production process:
Hot‑rolled seamless pipes: Typically used for large‑diameter, thick‑walled pipes; the billet is heated and processed at high temperature.
Cold‑rolled seamless pipes: Cold rolling provides precise dimensions and smooth surfaces, making these pipes suitable for high‑precision applications.
Cold‑drawn seamless pipes: Producing thin‑walled pipes with tight tolerances, cold drawing is ideal for hydraulic systems or machinery requiring accurate dimensions.
Increased pressure ratings
The greatest advantage of seamless steel pipes is their increased ability to withstand pressure. Because a seamless steel pipe has not been welded, it doesn’t have that seam, which makes it equally strong around the entire circumference of the pipe. Besides, it is also much easier to determine pressure calculations without being required to take weld quality into consideration.
Uniformity of shape

Strength under loads
This type of pipe has greater strength under loading. Empty pipe must always support its own weight, but when a pipe is filled with material–or under load–it must also support that weight as well.
