Application in substations
Seamless steel pipes can be used to construct supporting structures for power transmission in substation construction. Due to its high-strength characteristics, it can stably support various power equipment and lines, ensuring the normal operation of substations. For example, in some large substations, seamless steel pipes are used to make the tower structure of overhead lines, which can withstand pressure and tension under various climatic conditions, ensuring the stability of power transmission lines. This reflects its structural strength advantages in the electrical field.


Meanwhile, seamless steel pipes also play a role in the construction of the grounding system inside the substation. Good conductivity and corrosion resistance make it a suitable material choice for grounding electrodes and grounding busbars, effectively guiding the fault current generated by electrical equipment into the ground and ensuring the safety of equipment and personnel.

 

Application in transmission lines
For some transmission lines in special environments, such as crossing rivers, valleys, or passing through strong wind areas, seamless steel pipes are innovatively applied to manufacture high-strength transmission towers. Compared to traditional materials, towers made of seamless steel pipes can better resist the impact of harsh environments and reduce the risk of transmission line failures caused by tower damage.


In the construction of underground transmission pipelines in cities, seamless steel pipes are used to wrap and protect cables due to their good sealing performance and strong compressive strength. On the one hand, it prevents cables from being mechanically damaged by external factors, and on the other hand, it prevents erosion of cables by groundwater and other factors, ensuring that cables can transmit electricity stably in complex underground environments for a long time.
